The Importance of Upgrades in World of Warcraft
Upgrades are a brand new type of item that gives an increase to your stats. They can be used to upgrade trinkets, armor and weapons.
To calculate probabilities, item upgrades use a "upgrade pity". This system is meant to lower extremes of luck and provide a solid safety net when upgrading.
Armor
The item upgrader lets players upgrade the level of their equipment for their trinkets, armor, and weapons. The upgrade is applied to gear when you visit an upgrader NPC using the appropriate currency. Upgrading an item will also increase the stats on the item.
This NPC is found in every major city and is located in the corner of the city square near a teleport point. The NPC can be utilized to upgrade any item of armor, weapon or trinket in the world, excluding items that require a quest to acquire or craft.
Note: The item you use to upgrade your gear will be destroyed forever. You cannot apply multiple upgrades to a piece. If upgrade item attempt to do this, the previous upgrade will be overwritten.
Upgrade your equipment to increase the damage, your survivability and overall power. If you own Benthic gear that was obtained through the War Within Mythic Dungeon it will be at level 385 and is upgradeable with [Prismatic manapearls]. Upgrades to your PvE gear are account-wide. Upgrades to your PvP equipment will require the use of a specific currency, like [Valorstones] or [Harbinger Crests(Harbinger Crests). The amount of Valorstones required to upgrade additional gear in an armor slot decreases following the first upgrade.
Weapons
Weapons are a key component of any successful character, whether they're employed to deter the murderous creature, slay an intruder, win a shooting contest, or simply hung on a wall. Whatever way you decide on using a particular weapon, you must be aware that it can be upgraded and will evolve depending on your style of play.
You can upgrade weapons by visiting a blacksmith that has a workbench for weapons. The Blacksmith Hewg, located in the right-hand section of the Roundtable Hold hub, is a great choice to upgrade your main weapon. Iji is a Smithing Master located in the northwestern region, "Road to the Manor", of Liurna. Smithing Master Iji enhances armor and weapons.
As a general rule upgrading a weapon will raise the weapon's level by 5. However, for Azerite weaponry (see below) and other weaponry that is special, the item's ilvl will rise by 15. A player is limited to one active upgrade at any given time. If you attempt to apply an upgrade to a weapon that has another upgrade in place it will fail and the weapon will be reverted back to its previous ilvl.
Upgrades do not just increase the value of an item but also provide additional stats that can be used to increase its effectiveness. Certain upgrades will be passive while others may provide greater damage, more powerful attacks, greater range or critical strike chances.
Ashes of War weapons are rewarded when certain raid bosses are defeated. Whetblades are rare items which unlock new weapons.
After a weapon has been fully upgraded, a player can continue to upgrade the weapon as long as he/she has the appropriate upgrade materials and currency. It is important to remember that weapons can only be upgraded up to a maximum of 25. Players should upgrade their weapons only after having acquired the maximum number of upgrades from regular and Whetblade item.
Trinkets
Trinkets are a special item that offer a variety of Boosts. They can be upgraded like other equipment through interaction with an Item Upgrader NPC.
You can find an item upgrader in the town of Stardew Valley. To use it, you must first take off any weapons or armor that are equipped. The NPC will then appear with an orange banner "Equiped" over his head.
If you choose him, he will give you the option to upgrade your weapon or armor. You must bring the currency as well as the items to the NPC. If you do this you do, the NPC will upgrade your gear, boosting its stats by one level.
A trinket is a small, affordable piece of jewelry. Certain items are available by interacting with an NPC during an adventure. Other items are available as drops from battlegrounds and dungeons.
The Item Upgrader NPC is available at a variety of locations throughout the game world. Locations are listed on the map. Some NPCs only offer upgrades for certain kinds of equipment, whereas others can be used to upgrade any type of item. Certain NPCs provide additional benefits to those who have completed their quests. For example the NPC in Shattering Rift offers a new toy when players defeat the Ancient Beast, while the NPC in Eastern Guard Tower provides players with a special trinket.
Set Pieces
A set piece is a crucial scene that makes a film more memorable and stays with audiences long after the credits have ended. If an item is limited in its usage due to high requirements (whistan's shield, for instance is available only to FB Sorcs), or has a low base stat, but it can be upgraded, it will see very little use and will only gain value.
